Events

With events and socials all year round, you will be sure to find something you enjoy in our Association!

Currently planned Autumn term events

Welcome Picnic - Friday 22nd September at 12 noon

In what has become a new tradition for the Association, we will once again be hosting our annual welcome picnic in the beautiful Friends of the Harris Garden on campus. Join us to meet our committee and to speak to other like-minded students, whilst indulging in some pimms, nibbles and the odd game!

Welcome Drinks - Friday 29th September at 7pm

Our second annual welcome social is our welcome drinks in the beautiful Park House (one of the best places to get a drink on campus.) We'll be in the lobby area of the building near the large fire place. This is a great opportunity to socialise and meet the other members of the Association. It's also a great chance for our committee to introduce themselves and to get to know you. You'll also be treated to a (hopefully PC) welcome speech from our President.

Party Conference - Sunday 1st October to Monday 2nd October

For those members who are interested in attending the annual Party Conference, we attend each year for the first two days. We only go for a short period as we know that it is hard for people to commit to the full conference due to busy timetables. This year conference is in Manchester and we are arranging travel and accommodation for any members who wish to join us. It's a great chance to meet some top Government and Party members and if you're really lucky you'll bump into Boris Johnson talking about heavy-duty Whisky!

The Hagueathon

Can you follow in the footsteps of a young William Hague? Legend has it that as a young man, William Hague used to drink as much as 14 pints in a single night! Are you up to the challenge? For every drink you have on the night, you'll get a corresponding famous conservative.
